Digital group risk insurer Ellipse launches charity initiative, ‘You quote, we donate’
A donation of £1 will be made to one of three charities for each quotation advisers obtain from its online service. Advisers will be able to select which of the three should receive the donation immediately after completing each online quote.
The charities supported were selected by Ellipse employees from suggestions sent in by advisers. For the remainder of 2014, the supported charities are…
…Reuben’s Retreat, which offers a countryside retreat for families and their close friends who have suffered the bereavement of a child or have a child suffering from a life limiting or life threatening illness. This charity was nominated by Mike Picken from Henderson Employee Benefits whose friends set up the charity following the death of their 23-month old son Reuben.
…Queen’s Elizabeth’s Foundation QEF, who work with people with physical and learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries to help them gain new skills and increase independence for life. The nominator here was Charlie Bolam from HFM Columbus Partners as one of their advisers daughters is disabled
…the Motor Neurone Disease Association, who were put forward by Hannah Genge from Punter Southall, whose father has recently been diagnosed with the condition.
Ellipse CEO John Ritchie commented “We are delighted to be lending our support to these three charities, and with how advisers have engaged with us in setting up ‘You quote, we donate.
Ritchie continued: “Those of us in the group risk sector may be working for commercial organisations, but it’s important to remember that our fundamental purpose is to provide help to individuals and families at times when they really need it.”
